Well, it's been exactly one year since my last journal update! Okay... where to start? I'm still working for the DWP, though sadly I never seem to find much time to do any art (digital or otherwise). Most of my work is now photographic and involves walking around LARP events with my camera. I have however managed to start work on a website for a friend and my sketchbook is still brimming with ideas for stories (for one day I will unleash bad literature upon the world!). I've been avoiding updating this journal for quite a long time... and looking at the last entry I realise I've been doing so for over a year. I think I'll try and explain why. I worked as an administrative assistant at a company for over five months,and had made myself an important member of staff (having taken over technical duties at the office). Everything seemed bright for me, and I was looking forward to my six month review (where I had been told I might receive a pay rise, or a more suitable job title). A few days before my birthday I found out I was going to be made redundant... the company was apparently on the verge of bankruptcy.

After a couple of months of unemployment after finishing university I have managed to get a job as a junior administrator at a small company. It is essentially the first step on the ladder, but I am really happy with getting the work. I will still be doing artwork in my spare time, but I will not be checking up on DeviantArt as much as I usually do. In short nobody will notice anything different :D
